Happy Father's Day

She woke up for the seventh inning stretch and seemed pretty intrigued by the singing. I think she's a little disappointed that she didn't get a hot dog.On a Jet Plane

This weekend, while Jack was in Howe, Indiana with friends from high school, Caroline and I went to Zionsville. Caroline was appropriately spoiled by her doting Nana and Grandpapa. She loved all of the attention and was pretty excited about smiling, making faces and giggling with her grandparents. She was particularly enamored with a cloth elephant that Nana had for her to play with. (I was having so much fun watching her I forgot to take a picture of that).
Caroline also got to meet her soon to be godparents Kim and Jeff. As you can see, they took to her immediately (and really, who wouldn't?). They were trying to feed her shortly before this picture (though she was being a little cantankerous). So, Jeff's got his burp cloth all ready to go.
The late night joys of home ownership
>> Thursday, June 11, 2009
Life has been a little crazy at the Koller household recently. But, we thought things might be dying down a little bit. I got home from bible study last night and thought I would get a glass of wine, sit down and have a little quiet before going to bed early.

New Ears
>> Wednesday, June 10, 2009
As you can see, Caroline continues to be quite the smiley kid. And she gets bigger every day! It used to be that Caroline barely took up any space in her bouncy seat. But, now she can reach out and grab the toys on it and, as you can see, is getting near the top of it. We thought it was particularly funny that she has gained some new ears as she gets bigger. She seemed to think it was pretty funny too!
Animals and the Zoo
>> Monday, June 8, 2009
There are few things that are more fun than watching a child at the zoo. This is especially true when the child is absolutely adorable (and no, I don't mean Caroline this time - though she's pretty cute too).
Caroline wasn't quite so good at the animal sounds. She was much better at playing with the straps on her stroller and checking out all of the people walking by. But, she seemed to enjoy herself.Hooray for Family Visitors
This weekend Caroline got to meet her cousin Micah and we got to see him for the first time in a while. He has (as kids are want to do) really grown! He was a ton of fun, particularly excited about balls and trucks. On Saturday we took the kids to the zoo (I will put some fun pictures of Micah at the zoo up later). Caroline wasn't quite as excited about the zoo - not being up on the sounds animals make yet. But, she had a grand time hanging out in the stroller.
New Wheels
>> Thursday, June 4, 2009
Miss Caroline has got herself some new wheels. We were able to snag a nearly new stroller off of Craigslist - a Baby Jogger City Mini. This stroller lets her lie down. She can also see forward ans see much more of what is going on now. Wow does that make her happy. Our Snap-and-Go is still my favorite thing for errands, quick trips out of the car, etc. It is so much easier not to unsnap her, put her in the stroller, resnap her, etc. But, for the long walks we like to take, I think this is going to be a pretty great stroller. Caroline seems to agree. When I took her out for lunch yesterday she slept the entire time, all comfy in her new stroller.
Lunch Al Fresco

I went back to work today for a partial work week. I'm working Tuesday - Thursday as I ease back into my full time job. Of course, Caroline comes with me and hangs out in the day care on the first floor.
Adventures in Babysitting
>> Monday, June 1, 2009
Our next door neighbor Charles Henry came over today while his mom went to the dentist (I'm only working part time this week). Charles Henry is a few months older than Caroline so he's got a little bit of separation anxiety. I tried to get a happy picture of the both of them, but it just didn't happen. You can see that Caroline is now sitting in a bumbo seat for little bits of time. She is very excited about being able to see the world around her. She wasn't so sure about the little boy that came into her living room today though. Some of the looks she was giving Charles Henry were hysterical. It is the look that I imagine little girls give to boys when they are carrying around frogs (or other similarly "gross" things). It was just too much. Neither of them seemed to understand what I thought was so funny.
