I love you too

Caroline just went upstairs with Jack to begin the bedtime routine. In
response to my night night, she turned around and said "I love you
too." Now it actually sounds like "ah wuv ah two." but it was
distinguishable nonetheless. It is the first time she's told either of
she love us unprompted. What a lovely way to end the day!

Make Way For The Ducklings

On our way in this morning Caroline and I went to the fountain outside
the building (on the recommendation of someone coming by). We got to
see 12 ducklings swimming around with their mommy. So cute!

Spring has sprung

Caroline and I were able to get out a little bit early today. So I
decided today was a great day to play in the dirt. We did also plant a
few things as well...a few impatiens, two pepper plants and two tomato
plants. Caroline had a blast (and ate her fair share of dirt). She
also though that pouring water was hysterical. I thought watching her
try to carry the water can was hysterical.

Sweet Dancing Caroline

Last Friday we had to take Caroline to the doctor (again) to make sure her ear infections had finally gone away. Jack and I were waiting with her in the exam room. There was a book that had those buttons that if you push it, the book plays music. Low and behold...Caroline started dancing. It made us crack up. A few days ago we broke out the Neil Diamond and got some video of Caroline's latest skill.

Cherry Blossoms

Last week Caroline and I braved the HOARDS of tourists and went to the
tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms. Even though it is a bit of
chaos over there at this time of year, the view was worth it. Caroline
had a great time looking up through the blossoms, checking out all the
cool patterns the sun made through the blossoms. We caught this
picture from where we were standing.

Turned around

Caroline has hit yet another milestone. Her carseat is now facing
forward!! She has passed one year and is now well over 20 pounds. We
had her carseat sort of wedged into my car, with one seat in the front
nearly all the way forward. Now we can all put out seats back and
enjoy the view as the world goes by!
