Anna are you paying attention?

My new favorite past time is to watch Caroline "reading" books to Anna. The experience has the double pleasure of listening to Caroline make up stories and also hearing her trying to talk to Anna. Generally Anna is enamored with whatever Caroline is doing. But occasionally Anna scoots around (or rolls) to find a toy or mischief. At that point Caroline says to Anna "Anna I cannot read you a book if you aren't paying attention." Hilarious. I wonder where she has heard that before. But it is really sweet. Caroline tells wonderful, involved stories (for a not quite 4 year old) and carefully shows Anna the pictures on every page. She also lets Anna pick books (though the process isn't clear to me at this juncture.)
