Two Thirds of a Caroline

>> Saturday, February 6, 2010

We are up to snow depth of 2/3 of a Caroline (aka 18 inches). Jack took the yard stick out, measured Caroline (27.5 inches) and then went out and measured the snow in the middle of the front yard.

And then the poor guy started shoveling. I think this is the fourth time he's shoveled. I shoveled once. I'm pretty sure that the guys that our complex pays came twice last night. That is a lot of snow.

We were trying to figure out where this storm ranks in comparison to the one that we got on Jack's birthday weekend--December 17-19th.
This is what our sidewalk just shoveled looks like today.
This is what it looked like when Jack shoveled after all of the snow fell in December. I think we have more snow today. Don't you think? We're still supposed to get another 5-8 inches this morning. So, all in all, I think it is going to be a pretty big storm.

Which leaves our poor tree in the back yard bowed down
