Five Months and "Eating"

Caroline was five months old yesterday. She's growing like a weed. A few weeks ago we started trying Caroline on solid food. But she wasn't so sure about what to do with it. So, we put it away for a bit.

We broke the solid foods back out this week. Now she seems to understand the basics of food in mouth--tongue helps food down into the belly.

But, as you can see from the picture, she hasn't exactly mastered the whole eating thing. I'm pretty sure that at this point most of the food ends up on her rather than in her.

She also doesn't seem to understand that putting her feet in her mouth doesn't actually help the process along!
