After crying off and on tonight we deduced this little girl was very very very hungry. So were all up, sans Caroline who is snoring, and having eggs and toast.
When I asked Caroline what she wanted to be for Halloween she looked at me like I had lost my marbles and said "of course a rainbow unicorn." Of course, why didn't I think of that? Thank heavens Amazon sells just such a costume for $18.00. She also picked out Anna's costume since Anna is known as either "Anna banana" or "Anna bear." But I was informed that a banana costume isn't as fun as a bear costume. So there you have it.
Every Halloween needs some pumpkins carved, so we got in on the action. Though, in full disclosure Anna just colored on hers (and, let's be honest she mostly just ate the marker). But we had fun and our pumpkins now have faces.
With all of this nice weather we have Ben going on family walks after dinner. Last night Caroline thought that it was important to bring her baby doll along. So we had a double stroller parade.
I am just miserably behind in the happenings of our family. (I am going to blame moving). But here is my first attempt to get back on track. Here is a picture of Caroline on her first day of ballet class. We enrolled her in a fun little studio down the street. She was really scared to go to do something new. But she had a great time! And doesn't she look adorable?
I know we are way way behind on our blog. But we have to share our adorable little girl who is no longer a baby. She had a wonderful birthday, complete with a new sprinkler for the new back yard, amazing friends, cake and her very first pair of pink converse shoes (courtesy of our teen friends Cuatro and Griffin).
We spent the day celebrating out independence having fun! We went to the 4th of July parade downtown. We came home for naps. Then off to a party at our friends the Hursts. And, of course we ended the day with fireworks overlooking the Potomac. Anna was a little upset she couldn't catch them but otherwise it was a success!
Caroline has had a lot of fun over the past few days.
We headed to Wilmington to get out of the house while ours was on the market. We saw lots of flowers at 2 homes previously owned by the DuPont family. Here are a few pictures of the trip!
