Vrooooom

Before leaving town, I took Caroline (with Nana, Aunt Laurie and Abby, of course) to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. We rode the carousel, played in water and sand, saw an Egypt exhibit (which included a ride on an "airplane"), and even got in a train. But Caroline was not as impresses with the race car. She got in (as you see) and almost immediately got out. Upon trying to make it go (and finding the car permanently stationary) Caroline pronounced "it doesn't work. It broken" and hopped out a bit disgusted. Hilarious.

Fun with Nana

We had a great week last week in Indiana. The first part of the week I got to hang out with my mom, dad, Laurie, Mike and Abby. Jack came on Wednesday. Then he and I left Caroline at "Nana's house" and went to South Bend to celebrate his parents' 70th birthdays. As you can see, Caroline was broken up by our departure. :)

Tutu!!!

We are in Indianapolis for the week and Aunt Laurie and Nana had a great surprise for Caroline--a tutu and the shoes to go with it. She, of course, napped in it, wore it to Target, and generally refused to take it off until bath time. She was particularly cute when she danced in it!

Hello Elephant

I had yesterday off, so Caroline and I headed for the zoo. We got there before the buildings opened (ie before the crowds got there). Caroline spent a good bit of time saying hi to the elephant. We also waved to a panda, roared at the lions (which got a lot of laughs from nearby adults), saw a tiger, visited a pig named Carolina Anna basically had a grand time. Caroline was so tired after that she took a four hour nap.

Happy 4th

Caroline wasn't in the mood to get her picture taken today. But I caught a stealth picture of her watching the burgers get cooked at our friend's house. We enjoyed our independence this afternoon by swimming and at a cookout. This white shirt was soon pink from watermelon (as it should be) and good fun was had by all. I don't know if you can tell in the picture but Caroline has blue and red toenails. Hooray for being two.

Grand Rapids fun

We are in Grand Rapids on our way north to catch up with friends. Jack was a fantastic Dad and found out that there is a children's museum in Grand Rapids. It is a blast!! We actually just brought Caroline along so we could play. They have a play grocery, a pet store (see picture) a bank, a pediatrician's office, Lego table, bubbles and more and more. So so fun!!!

Our Medal Winner!

A month back Caroline won a medal at day care for her tumbling and skills class. After dinner, we headed off to the local cafe where we celebrated with gelato.
